Hi Tara , absolutely love all of your formulations. Thankyou for taking the time effort and time to share them. I also happen to be from India and loved this turmeric infused oil video. We literally have turmeric in almost everything we cook. Haha. All our curries / lentil dishes etc etc. :) Also a fun fact , in India we have many kinds of turmeric too. The yellow one is most commonly used. The other amazing ones are - •White turmeric or Kasturi manjal (this one won’t leave yellow stains on the skin. Smells stronger too than the yellow). • Black turmeric which is uncommon and rare which has very high antioxidant properties. • Lakadong turmeric is gaining fame because this variety comes from east India and has a higher curcumin content than the yellow normal turmeric. This one is more yellow too. I use it in my face scrub with ground rice for a lovely skin feel. 😊✨

Love this video, growing up in India, whenever we got sick flu or cold, my mom use to boil milk and add Turmeric and Honey and make us drink it. I hated milk especially boiled milk. It is a very popular remedy for the winter months being sick. We use turmeric almost for all the foods. One of the best uses for brides before their wedding day, to give them a full scrub face to hands to feet. I have my own business, making some amazing soaps with Turmeric and few other family recipes added to it. keep up the beautiful videos. you are great.

I am glad you did this and you answered the question I have about staining. I have to make mine and was wondering whether to use safflower oil because I see a lot of the suppliers using safflower oil for infusion. Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge with us.😍😍😍😍😍Oh! Congratulations 🎉🎈🎊🍾 again on opening up your store.

@@TaraLeee I don’t know why too. The first thought is whether it had a longer shelf life.
@BukolaOriola2 жыл бұрын
@Alyssa Michelle Thanks for your comment. What is PUFAs? I have to do a reference check on one of the books that I use for learning more about some of the oils, “Power of the Seed” by Susan Parker and it says that Safflower oil has high-linoleic acid and high-oleic acid. She noted that this oil is compatible with the skin and is deeply moisturizing bringing fatty acids quality to the skin. Some oils are cheaper, not because they are bad but because they are more readily available - meaning that they are not necessarily available only in one or few regions of the world and they produce in abundance. Some are expensive because they are not even oil in the first place, one of such is jojoba oil which is a liquid wax.

😭 it stained my sling and smells like turmeric. 😂😂 I didn’t use tea bags (which would’ve made the process so much easier). Is it supposed to tint the skin and then wash off? How do you determine shelf life of your oils? Do you just got by the use by date on the bottles they come in? I tried infusing hibiscus flowers in camellia oil. I use it on my face and love it. I only heated mine for around 20 mins before straining but it still seemed to work ok.
