Thanks for the new recipe! I recently bought hibiscus oil (carrier oil) and it’s quickly become one of my favourites. Great for many different hair types (as it’s moisturizing but still light) and skin (I’m in my 40s but still get painful cystic acne if I’m not careful and this is one of the few oils that feels deeply nourishing to my dehydrated skin without causing acne). Try it out peeps! 🌺

Can you name any substitute or alternative for honeyquat , or can I use aloe vera juice or aloe water instead of honey quat
@fabiennevdk70454 жыл бұрын
Honeyquat is quaternized honey, in other words, honey with a cationic charge. This means it will bind to hair like a magnet as hair tends to be negatively charged, especially damaged hair. Cationic conditioning agents will also remove the anionic charge shampoo can leave your hair with and smoothe down the cuticles. So Aloe Vera, even though it’s a humectant just like honey, it will not have the exact same effect as this is not regular honey but quaternized honey. But it will still hydrate your hair.
