Hi Denise. That's really a cozy looking Cardigan! I'm going to see if I can get the pattern for a friend of mine. I crochet left handed, and that's actually too complicated for me because I don't crochet much. Do keep up the good work, and God-bless you

I love this pattern and the texture which lends itself to look almost knitted even though it's crocheted... The yarn looks so soft and seems to hold its shape well probably due to the fact that it's a 5 thickness . The yarn cost is reasonably priced. 🙌 Beautiful work dear. 💞 👍 On my ta do list.👌

Hi- how do you count the rows? I lost count. Also, how do you do the last RHDC on the end or edge? I’m not sure if I should be grabbing the last rib or what? Any chance you can make a video covering how to count the rows and how to make sure the edges of the RHDC is done right? Would much appreciate it. I’m using a fuzzy yarn which makes it a little hard to see :/ Thanks! Love this tutorial!
@YayForYarn Жыл бұрын
Hi Melissa. If you're having trouble identifying the stitches and rows in the fabric because of the fuzzy yarn you're using, I would suggest doing a swatch of the stitch pattern and ribbing using a smooth, easier-to-see yarn. If you become familiar with the stitch pattern in a more visible yarn, it could help make it easier to identify the stitches and rows in the fuzzy yarn. As for counting the rows, keep in mind that the RHDC ribbing at the end takes two rows to create a ridge with a 'peak' and a 'valley'. This video showing the RHDC in more detail may be of help: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aJqQoGqGaphgns0 I hope this helps!

I love this cardigan and I want to make it but I have a question for you. I’m only 4 foot 10 so obviously I will make size one however because of my height should I make less rows than 85. Would 85 be too long for me.
@YayForYarn Жыл бұрын
Hi Lynne! The cardigan on the photo is shown on a petite model, so you probably don't need to worry about the length. Just go by the bust measurement to choose the size you need. I hope this helps!

Thank you for such a beautiful pattern. I would like to use Wool of the Andes Bulky instead of what you have. Would that work, WeCrochet does not say if it's a #5 or not. Thank you!
@YayForYarn2 жыл бұрын
Hi Diana. Yes, Bulky typically refers to #5 Bulky weight yarn, and the Wool of the Andes Bulky is a #5 yarn. I hope this helps!

can I add more than the required rows to make it longer in the back?
@YayForYarn3 жыл бұрын
Hi Lisa. This cardigan is worked sideways, so adding more rows will actually make it wider. If you want it to be longer, you'll need to add more stitches to the rows. Just make sure you start with an even number of stitches. I hope this helps!

How many grams of yarn did you use in total? I don't want to end up running out of yarn, so I might as well get the right amount to avoid disappointment.
@YayForYarn3 жыл бұрын
Hi Yasmin. I recommend going by the length in the yarn requirements rather than grams, as different brands of yarn in the same thickness category can vary in how many yards are contained in 100 grams. If you visit the first link in the video description, it will take you to view the free version of the written pattern, which includes all of the yarn requirements and instructions for all the sizes in the pattern. I hope this helps!

Hello please remove my confusion that if we r repeating row 3 80 times then how the border and body of sweater are different.shouldn’t these be same
@YayForYarn3 жыл бұрын
Hi! On this cardigan, the border is built into the main rectangle. Instead of working the border afterward, the border is done by just working different stitches at the beginning and end of each row. Once you have made the main rectangle, the only other sections are the cuff ribbings that finish out the sleeves. I hope this helps!
@Lyrics_girl743 жыл бұрын
@@YayForYarn I’m always having trouble with understanding that do we have to skip stitch after and before completing initial and end 8 stitches
@YayForYarn3 жыл бұрын
No, you don't have to skip a stitch in between the ribbing half-double crochet stitches and the main stitch pattern.
@camper144 жыл бұрын
Wish you would show youself making the stitches starting in a slower version.

Hi! Are you referring to the foundation single crochet stitch that I used to begin the project? If you would like a more detailed demonstration of that stitch, I have a video on that here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/rZjFaGuKnNtna7M I hope this helps!
