Algebra - Linear Programming

Linear Programming, also known as linear optimization, is a mathematical technique for maximizing or minimizing a linear function of several variables, such as output or cost. In other words, it has real business implications, such as profits and losses (aka "profit model"). There's a big graphing component, specifically, graphing what's called the "feasible region." We also cover solutions for systems of equations, which are the intersection points. YAY MATH!

I keep having the same problem with all linear programming examples that I come across. It seems obvious without the linear programming, or even graphing that you would want to pick the option with the most profit, and make the most of that which your constraints allow. You are forced to make 5 low profit cars, so why wouldn't you just make 15 trucks.? I am not seeing how linear programming gives any different answer than what is already obvious when you first write the problem down. I'm pretty sure I'm not doing this all in my head in an instant. What is a case where linear programming is needed?

Too many mistakes and ambiguity in the presentation. Needs to be redone. -1 is not the minimum. Choosing (5,-10) produces a positive result but has a negative input.An unbounded set can have a Max or Min, or not. You need more clarity about that. Probably too much complexity for a first example.
