That was amazing! It was surreal seeing Yaz, then seeing his grandson who is an exact replica of the old man, same built, same face, same swing. It was the only time I’ve ever heard the Sox crowd cheer for an apposition player when Mike hit that home run. Mind blown, Boston,Massachusetts.

I do wish Mike all the best of A Productive Career in baseball, as Ted's son was incapable of doing so.DO Wish Mike started in Boston, as it would have been a great debut having roaring crowds being his at bats. Would have pretty much installed as much confidence in himself, as Yaz had back in the his days. No complaints as He's doing pretty well where he is...

As a Yankee fan , I remember the 1978 1 game play-off where Goose Gossage got Yaz to pop out with the bases loaded in the bottom of the 9th securing a 5-4 Yankee win. Thought for sure Yaz was going to win it for the Sox.

Given the fact that Yaz was batting over .400 against Gossage going into the atbat - I thought for sure as well! Check his stats... the harder they threw, the higher Yaz's batting average!
