Hi I was going to message the same thing! I have hearing disability. I am not totally death and wear hearing aids but can still struggle as I am sure you know. It can be lonely and isolated when you are with a lot of people and can't keep up with conversion

@@joey1723 that's a nice comment cheers....neighbours actually did a similar story about 18 months ago where a young school girl lost her hearing temporary through a explosion. I don't watch it all the time but did watch a few of the episodes and they did it really well . I am sure hollyoakes will too. Yaz if a great character. Normally very funny so be nice to see the actress do serious side

@@donnn-sg4mk I'm very glad to hear that another soap handled it well. I agree about Yazz - this is the actress's chance to shine. When her character first joined, I found her annoying and she was so mean to Lily, but I really like her now! A+ for character development haha

Perforated ear drums usually have a healing time of up to two months realistically, so she'll be fine

Perforated eardrums take about 2 months to heal so they could've given her a little hope and told her at least 2 months

@@Blitz-dm3kv Not really a source, but perforated eardrums, most of the time, heal by themselves within a few weeks, and if not, can be treated with antibiotics and/or surgery.

I lost my right ear hearing at 16 and I had perforated eardrum and ear infection sometimes I get scared losing my left ear hearing because I get ear infection. Poor yasmin she a sweet girl I cry

I was born with a hearing problem and have to wear hearing aids in both ears, so I totally understand how she feels, with people not understanding you, really hope shes okay and people understand her in the end!

Hi my hearing problems started when I was 20. Plus the tininus too. I have to wear hearing aids in both ears tho most of time just wear one when I am out...and two when I am home. So yes I know the isolation you can feel cause as you know even with hearing aids it is a struggle. Neighbours did a similar story last year and they did it well ...Hopefully hollyoakes will too x

I've had mine since I was 6 and even now I'm still embarrassed to wear them round people I dont know and things as I feel like on going to be judged where ever I go with them, so hopefully she doesn't get judged and that for having a hearing problem and hope everyone understands!
