I got one for you, Yaz. I learned this on my most recent run. In the room right before Bugsy, where you free up the pyromancer with the Fragrant Branch of Yore, there's a flammable barrel. If you blow up the barrel (I rolled into it and it still exploded, lol), the guys up top attack you early, so you don't have to run around in circles while you wait for the gate to open.

if you are gonna use a dagger again, i suggest "mytha bent blade" it has the same counter damage of a regular dagger, just slightly lower base base and lower durability, but i applies poison and it is the only weapon in the entire game that applies toxic, it doesn't show in any menu but this weapon can inflict toxic too, unfortunately, items that boost poison build-up don't boost the toxic build-up

Wow! The Dagger is really busted! But I'm not surprised, though. I'm starting to realize that starting class weapons aren't as bad as people think - especially small and fast ones, like the Hand Axe in DS1 (this weapon hits fast and consumes little stamina and can be buffed, making it a perfect boss-killer). That gives me an idea for your next poll: Starting class only runs in DS2. GamersWeekend did this in DS1 (and is starting to do it in DS2). You can choose 4 starting classes for us to choose from. then. you can challenge yourself the same way GamersWeekend did: he was only allowed to use the starting armor, weapons and spells. to make things easier, he allowed for rings and equipment upgrades and consumables. he bought multiple copies of the starting spells so that he can be able to actually kill enemies, but no other spells. the only problem is the Deprived class: he starts with nothing - not even a club like in DS1. it'll be challenging to fight bare-fisted, with no armor and no Vanquisher's Seal.

This challenge will be very hard, but he can still use other damage boosting rings, like Flynn's Ring and the RTSR......ring. But if he chooses to skip the Deprived class, I wouldn't be surprised.

The dagger is the reason I never used a boss weapon in any dark souls. I started with two and got the dagger after the noob doors. Had the class with no weapons to show my friend it’s easy. Game took me 8 months to beat 227 hours. Cuz of you I never listen to people on what weapons to pick. I’ll pay with what I want and if I’m good shit will be easy

im a fan of giant lord in giant memory for soul farm but it has some tradeoffs. cant do it til later in the game and if you have to go back in any of the other giant memories you get blasted y adds that almost 1 shot you (i did my giant lord farming before i cleared my other giant memories..) but its a self fulfilling loop. you get a new ascetic every run so you never have to worry

If you use a staff only for buffs and debuff (whisper of dispair) the witchtree branch is actually the best choice, since these kind of spells/hexes don't scale with the staff. It has the highest casting speed among the stuffs.

I love it whenever someone is given the opportunity to belt out a "Where's everyone goin'...Bingo?". Probably one of the best lines of dialogue I've ever heard. For me that Leon quote even trumps Dante's "I was supposed to be the one to fill your dark soul with liiiiiiiight!" line. Despite that, my all time favorite probably has to be from Barry Burton in the OG Resident Evil 1 when he saves Jill from the giant plant monster and Jill's like "Oh Barry! You saved me!" and Barry just replies "Yaaaaaaaaa" with it being immediately followed up by Jill going "Thanks Barry, that was close!" and Barry replying "Don't mention it. What a monster! I can't believ-WHAT THE HELL IS THIS PLACE ANYWAY?!". OG RE1 gave us so many bangers, none of which were actually scary.

i recently got a lot etter at parrying in ds3 and learned it in elden ring. gave it a shot in ds2. realizing just how many things can be parried. cant wait to cheese m next playthrough. i love the spear syan knights with their triple poke attack and getting a greatsword parry on them.

Yep, the dagger is VERY powerful and it was even more powerful but it was nerfed. As it stands the 3 highest DPS weapons in the game are: 1) Powerstanced UNINFUSED Chaos Blades. The highest theoretical DPS, but they consume a lot of stamina. 2) Infused Ice Rapier. The second in terms of DPS if you pair it with all 4 damage rings (clutch+RoB+Flynn's+Leo) and much higher damage per stamina bar. 3) Uninfused Dagger. The 3rd in terms of DPS, but the best in terms of damage per stamina bar.
