Morissette Amon is a vocal BEAST and not only that, she is superb songstress and technical singing master. FTR, I am a retired, professional music critic, with 45+ years of experience. I saw many of the great female Pop singers, like Celine Dion, Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Regine Vazquez etc, live, at their Apex singing peaks. Morissette is a match for any of them. She has become one of the top 5 to 8 Pop singers of all time (my opinion), since then.

Mori can do the „Xtina growls“, but her signature sound are her „squeaks“ (as in „Secret Love song“), but she can also do Mariah runs („Against all odds“ - even with Mariah‘s „flying hands“!) and she can also do Whistle („Akin ka na lang“). And she is a vocal beast, but her prime ability is the fact, that she is a master in conveying emotions („Gusto ko nang bumitaw“ - but not the wish bus version, do the live band version!) And of course she can do Whitney („run to you“ - in front of a whole Orchestra on a gala in Manila)! One of the best female singers on the planet (next to Katrina Velarde and Gigi de Lana - but that is another chapter…!)

I hear this a lot, regarding her pronunciation of two of the "for me" instances where it comes out "for may". Please listen to the original singer, Loren Allred (it wasn't Rebecca Furgeson, the actress who plays Jenny Lind, Rebecca was lip syncing) from the Greatest Showman. Everyone has said it was much easier for Morisette to sing. Not true, she can do it, but if you're doing a cover, then there should be some reflection of the original, which just so happens to be from a movie. You should always check the original. I would recommend "Secret Love Song" but listen to the Little Mix's video first, notice the 5 singers different voices. Morisette's video has been viewed over 200 million times. But listen to Little Mix's version first.
