As someone who LOVES the key of Eb minor, I personally find the key of Eb minor (not just the Ebm chord itself) to be an awkward choice when it comes to a band with guitars and a bass. I very often associate Eb minor with "darkness", and yet the lowest note playable on most guitars and the 4-string bass is a fu¢king *E* - which means the bass end of the instruments would fall ONE SEMITONE SHORT of the tonic note.
