This conversation is 4 years old. But still so relevant when it comes to building a hardware/software company. I’ve been on that journey now for 3 years, on my own and I agree the hardest thing is people telling you you won’t make it. But you can turn that around and use it as a motivation.

flexible technical people is the best way to say contractors, this idea of building internal technical team is a waste and not efficient, what you need is a lead tech person to manage the contractor and define what is needed.
