Thank you 1,000 times over.. this video was posted a while ago, but just know you still helped someone in 2021 who was ready to give up on this subject!!! Thank you so much!

How did the K cancel from 8.314 at 15:55 min into the video?
@ycpChemistryLabs8 жыл бұрын
Actually, that is a (1/K) that is cancelled. It is cancelled because the slope has units of (K) - this might be a bit tough to see, but it is the case. So, when we multiply the "R" value from the denominator on the right to the left side of the equation, the (1/K) units from it cancel with the (K) units from the slope. I hope that helps!

WHICH TEMPERATURE WE USE WHEN WE CALCULATINING THE NUMBER OF MOLES OF AIR
@marianasalazar1356 Жыл бұрын
the lower temperature that you got, that way you know there is the least quantity of water vapor present, I know is one year later but hopefully someone has the same question

Why P(air) equals to 0,995?
@charlesos24996 жыл бұрын
Since all the volumes given are raw data, aren't we to first calculate the corrected volume?
@ycpChemistryLabs5 жыл бұрын
We don't correct for the volume, but rather we account for the portion of the pressure inside the gas bubble that comes from air. Each gas ('air' and water vapor) gets to fill the entire volume of the bubble, thus eliminating the pressure coming form the air is the way to identify the vapor pressure of water at each temperature.
