​@@gilgameshkingofheroes2042the issue with Rank 5 Monarchs is you need brilliant fusion and I think a main Bystial or Kash Package is sort of mandatory now and a deck full of lv5/6/7/8 monsters doesn't lend itself well to XYZ spam Also also that style if Monarchs isn't good enough sadly. I wish the new Monarchs were 2800/1000 instead of the scuffed 3000/1200 and instead of the built in stormforths requiring you had a tribute summoned monster it just inherently had a built in stormforth so that monarchs could go back to their roots as generic going second board breaking machines.

I dont think a bystial monarch deck is possible but the sinergies do exist. Branded regained gives a lot of grind game to monarch, the bystial package can bait lots of handtraps

That branded chimera player literally had an easy free win but I guess he was really stressed 7:36 Instead if ending turn, he could have kaiju the monarch and then he could do all the extra deck stuff thanks to the baphomet he manaed to resolve. Opponent has another ether in hand? Well triple talent was added from pot of prosperity and doesn't target 10:04 seeing how the monarch pick up all his card I can guess that face down spell was actually a monarch storm forth which wouldn't even be an issue to begin with 19:26 Why would he even summon fenrir in def, why not crash it into majesty fiend? He literally searched mirror swordknight last turn which means he would get a massive card advantage in mp2. Hand trap shouldn't have been an issue considering that crossout he got in hand gotta mean something. I m going to attribute this lose to the stress and fatigue but otherwise, he shouldn't have lost.

The clip from 19:26 is where Rene was legit thought of scared of Honest because Majesty is a LIGHT. But at the same time as the commentary team mentioned that which everybody must remember: Majesty's Fiend applies to BOTH players and it doesn't care where about no monster effects to activate. It was pretty much the reason why Specialing the Fenrir in Defense mode. Rene was actually under pressure about Majesty's Fiend let alone there wasn't much he can do. Otherwise, everything else was on point.

25:14 Lithium couldn't have summoned Anchamoufrite from the Extra Deck that turn because he played Stormforth. You can only play the spell card if you haven't performed a summon from the ED during the whole turn, it doesn't prevent you from summoning from the ED only after you play it.

Before any of the MD updates I was mulling around at the top of Plat with Domain Monarch… hardest match up was Eldlich and right now, it will give most of the meta some grief. Going second with it sucks a bit… but it’s not unrecoverable. 🤷🏽‍♂️

the branded chimera player clearly misplayed massively, but given how stressful it is on a featured match cant blame him. branded chimera should beat monarch 9 out of 10 times. since monarch loses to itself half of the time by drawing brick hands or most times one ash is enough to end their turn. just so happened that chimera players misplayed bad and his opponent draw god hands back to back
