It's funny how the last sentence that was said of the final episode of this fantastic game show was "If you think we're coming back for final jeopardy, than YOU DON'T KNOW JACK!".. and by funny i mean really really sad.

Finally finished the 6 eps of this short lived game show. Kinda sucks how they added more to the studio (including sound fx machine for Rubens) and it got cancelled shortly after. Oh well, I guess I'll just enjoy YDKJ on my iPad with Cookie hosting.

Thanks to the person who posted these glorious six episodes. Sadly I hadn't been aware of them until after Paul Reubens died. It's amazing that someone so completely known for one character could take that same kind of manic energy and turn it into another almost equally entertaining character who looks and acts complete different (although if you listen closely, you will catch slight shadows of Pee Wee in Troy Stevens). A very entertaining show that could have gone on much longer. RIP Paul. Thanks for all the joy!

If i was a contestant, and i had that "what is the word?" exchange with Paul Rubens, it would've been really hard for me to not say ".....Bird is the word?"

Paul Stevens was later fired from his job of hosting this show due to hoarding pineapple. It really got out of hand when all the pineapple boxes fell on a contestant. Because the show had no other people as funny as him, the show was cancelled after 6 episodes.

Despite all the fans in the comments, it's obvious why this show failed. Paul should have played himself, the two million dollar question gimmick should not have been used every episode or at least there should have been a way to earn a few thousand dollars, the contestants don't play the game enough except at the end, and the winnings were far too low for a prime time show. The style is similar to a kids' game show, but the running gags and gimmicks didn't work well. With some adjustment, the show might have been successful as a syndicated game show, but not as a prime time show.

This show was really a show full of ideas that didn’t work out because the contestants weren’t picked well, especially for this episode, it really seems that the 2 men were only in it for the money. I think Troy stevens was a great idea for a game show host and showed something different than everything else at the time. I agree the 2mil questions really didn’t matter in any of the episodes because it went down too fast and it’s the same joke every time. I don’t see anything wrong with the cash prizes though, they didn’t want to have the game super tough so they didn’t take away cash if they got it wrong, I guess it’s just me but big cash prizes don’t really pull me in, it’s the fun of a game show but the contestants really sucked and the show could have been way better if they did actors for the first couple episodes to show what it can be. I agree with almost everything you said except Paul playing himself, it could have better or worse but I think troy was a good game show host and thought that his acting carried the show almost all the way through.

To me, this is barely a game show. The focus is on the comedy bits and the Troy Stevens character. I would've liked to see a You Don't Know Jack game show where less time is spent on bits and we still have things like Screws. Only a few of the questions are even in the YDKJ style, most of them are just silly and easy. But then I'm a fan of "boring" British game shows like Countdown and Only Collect.
