I keep hearing what sounds like a BMW flat twin with open pipes. The only 4 stroke around at the time was the oval piston Honda. is that what it sounded like?

The NR500 sounded like an RC45. I think the bike you can hear is an Aermachi single. In my 1982 Motocourse only finishers get a mention. There is a more BMW like sound out there as well. Very odd.

Uncini can't believe he is on the works bike. Sheene I thing can't believe he is on the inferior yamaha square four. I take my hat of to sheene for fighting after all the accidents he had and i think slower bike. 125 hp in 1982.we double in 30 years.

in fact, if it had not been for his fatal crash in Silverstone in the trainings, Barry was the favourite x the tltle in 82 (one of the best years in the history of GP) Sadly, that crash ruined his career...I cant undestand how Yamaha dismissed him....-:(

+Pablo Pérez a pity these circuits are no longer in the championship... to see lap times evolución Not only from 125 to 270 hp...tres, chasis....but the laptimes have not been reduced a 50%

@@pabloperez4063 yes yamaha has to answer. But Barry was still fighting I think the accidents didn't stopped him. That's y marques is crashing soo many times he doesn't know that one bad accident can finish u.

+Christopher Johnson true! In fact, from his own team, and even some journalists from magazines(!) are begging Marquez to be more careful in trainings...because they are afraid of having his career suddenly stopped by a serious injury. (Doohan would have won 7 or 9 titles in a row if it had not been for his 2 accidents)....but Marc seems to be too fearless for this world. (I truly hope he can get away with it)
