As popular as Total Drama? You're kidding, right? TD is still way more popular, especially in its heyday. It was literally one of the highest rated shows ever airing on Cartoon Network. DC can barely reach more than 150k views per episode after a week.

When you dedicate your channel to one show or movie or anime, this is usually what happens when said thing ends or enters an indefinite hiatus. Interest goes away for most people. The only reason you enjoy making more DC stuff is because that one is still currently ongoing, producing new content, and it's the closest thing resembling your previous interest. You also feel better with that community because DC as a whole was created by people like you, by TD fans for other TD fans, on a platform where everyone on earth can watch it at any time. Meanwhile TD is a TV series made by completely different type of people under completely different circumstances.

Yeah, you've got it there. I was sort of waiting for some sort of community resurgence with the show releasing in the US, but with Fresh/Cake Entertainment/CN's massive blunder in releasing the new season, it just... didn't happen. Another thing I hadn't mentioned that I should have is that, I've been watching my channel views on Total Drama stuff go down and down for over a *year* at this point. I waited as long as I could to not let that affect me but eventually it did. Community interest in Total Drama is just at an all time low ever since we started hearing about the new seasons.

One is a TV series genius, while the other is a youtube show. TD can't renew itself, it's always the broadcasters who do that. Meanwhile DC can continue for however long it wants. TD has a way higher budget, so episodes take longer to produce too. DC is just low budget TD with godawful voice acting.

I do have a second channel that I said was supposed to be about Disventure Camp and Total Drama, but it's mainly just Disventure Camp. Why? Because admittedly, Total Drama is lacking new content so it might get boring to talk about the same stuff over and over again, but when/if a new season comes out then I'll definitely go back to Total Drama. Not to mention ONC post Disventure Camp every other weekend, so then I'd have new content to talk about rather than just the same things. But I do love Total Drama a LOT (it's not even funny), I just get bored of posting the same content after a while. But you can do what you pls, I don't even care. TD>>>>>>>>>>DC (my opinion pls don't kill me)

I feel you. I love Total Drama, and always will, but I'm also burnt out on it. Nothing will top Island '07 for me, but Disventure Camp has been the closest I've felt to this level of enjoyment for this kinda thing since... well, since I was a teen really. You're right that the community also feels more vibrant and open to contributions than Fresh ever were with TD itself at times (hell, I'm closely acquainted with some staff, that's how much more personable they are with their fanbase). It feels good to have this hole in my heart be filled again after such a long time as a very longtime Total Drama fan, and I hope more of these types of series can break out into their own things. ❤

Of course the community is different when DC is a youtube series made by TD fans while TD itself is a TV series. Also not sure how much attention you actually payed to the video itself, but he straight up says it himself that he's only burnt out from making TD content because the show is on an indefinite hiatus, not because he no longer loves it or cares about it. DC on the other hand isn't on hiatus.

No offense but I think you are being WAY too overdramatic about all of this. No one is forcing you to pump out TD or any other edits asap, if at the moment you don't feel like making another TD edit then just don't, make one when you feel like it, you don't owe anything to your relatively small subcribers, this channel isn't your job it's just a hobby. No need to create a 6 minute long video about it that is gonna age like milk when TD gets new content again and interest for it comes back for more people.

I get your point, and you’re right about my audience being small. But I think they deserve to be in the loop on my thoughts. Also, with the current situation with Total Drama’s release, I don’t see any new content coming out at least for a good 2 years. I dunno where I’ll be then. So for all intents and purposes it could very well be the end of my ventures with the show. And I think it’s only fair to let people who aren’t here for Disventure Camp, know that this channel won’t be pivoting to them anymore.

Almost nobody is gonna question why you're not making more TD edits, and you aren't gonna lose views, the DC fandom is entirely made up of TD fans anyway, one is just currently ongoing while the other's on hiatus, but interest can grow back even when just an announcement of it gets made, which could happen at any time. Of course if we aren't supporting the 2nd season's release in the US, and instead focus on some youtube show that only gets cancelled when the creators feel like cancelling it, then chances for a continuation are less likely, but you do you, it IS your channel and you decide what you want to do with it.
