Ty for the video, had the shocks for many months now installed on one of my TT-02 cars and they are superior shocks, performance is amazing!

Are the shock rods supposed to come back out after oiling them? Or only once you put the springs on? I have two shocks which will push the rods back out if I press them in and two that don't.. but that's without springs...

@@kevinbarraza1423 If you’re talking about the return or rebound action, then yes. The shaft should rebound. If it’s slow or doesn’t return to full travel, you have air somewhere, either because it wasn’t fully bled before the bladder/diaphragm was installed or the diaphragm had torn when you put the top cap on. Check all of your shocks for consistency. Remove the springs from the shocks and check the full compression and full return of the shock shaft. Do this a few times on each shock. You’ll know which are not right just by the return. Rebuild any of them that aren’t correct. If you have a QUTUS, set all the pistons to the same setting, either to the least amount of openings or the most but set them all the same and do the above. Also, when bleeding the air out, spin the shaft as you push/pull to get all the air out. A helpful tip is to put a bit of oil inside the shock body prior to putting the piston assembly inside as when you start to push the piston down the body, it’ll expel the air trapped below the piston and push it up through the hole(s), helping you to make bleeding the air out a little easier and faster. Hope this helps.

Are these better than the DSG YR shocks? What’s the main differences. Aside from quick damping adjustment by twisting the base of the shock?

I don’t think these shocks are any good. I just bought them and built them exactly as shown and they have absolutely zero rebound. The piston is just dead and no amount of bleeding the air or rebuilding is fixing that. Don’t recommend. Update: after continuing to mess with them I found that you have to shave down the tiny nubs that are left on the plastic pistons when you cut them from the molding. Only after doing so will the piston move freely inside the housing. Wish they would’ve specified that in the instructions and saved a lot of headache. Also the springs that come with them are too short so you’ll need to replace them right off the bat.
