I mean just look at that thing! Yokomo is crazy they were the first chassis I seen and it drew me into the whole drift side of things. They just look so good! Someday when I go pro 😂

Hey bud just wondering what springs you use they are the type i want to get due to color of the springs themself. I custom done my yoko big bores with axon revoshock 2 pistons shaved down to fit shock body just need to work out what springs to get that have the ti coat look

Hey there! Its awesome hearing about your custom shock package! The rears are ReveD Polished Concrete Springs, they come in a 3 pack (soft,medium,hard) and the fronts on this build are yokomo springs that I pulled from the rd1.0 Kit, they are soft and seem like a good fit for fronts. They might be listed in the RD1.0 manual. On my other build, the hydra shark Im running yokomo green springs and they work very well!

@@SeanLewisMedia cheers bud and massive thanks on the parts. You have some very nice chassis builds the shark looks like a nice conversion to do love the purple alloy parts they make. Im more on a basic type of side i have a simple yd2z but have allsorts of parts on it now teams chassis soon to be swapped to a des forged carbon deck slide rack and most alloy upgrades done so far i went for weight shift on yd2 next chassis is res2 from des just waiting for it to come from thailand atm and thats the 1 i want to make a comp chassis so want to get better shock setup on that 1

@@driftnrcdad That sounds like an awesome plan! Being so close to Super G in SoCal and being able to go so often I’ve been surrounded by some of the best drivers and it definitely pushed me towards a more advanced chassis early. I would love to build a cool weight shift as well down the road. That new chassis should be sweet👌🏼

@@SeanLewisMedia yeah bit of fun learning how to drive weight shift i find it alot easier to get to do what i want it to. The res2 is going all sanwa with a hobbywing d10 10.5t the yd2 is acuvance and ko propo servo and gyro just a cheap transmitter for now. Being close to a track would be handy where i live in New Zealand we dont have a fulltime drift track so get 1 day a month to practice. Im planning on a simple vinyl flooring track for at home as my 3 boys all get into it aswell

? Do you think runnin 100 cst is good for polished con concrete. I have a sd 1.0 if that helps

Ya that should be perfect, I was running 100 before and after. The dampening is perfect and It keeps settings simple. 50 seems fast, and 150 seems too slow so I’d stay with 100 and the play with the other settings from there

@@SeanLewisMedia I got these and I'm having rebound issues. I built them 100% correct with 200 then rebuilt them again last night with 150 but still don't have a lot of rebound having to run really stiff springs in order to get some type of rebound

@@mattparker510 I have had a harder time with these shocks to get the rebound set when I build them. I have to fill them with the shaft all the way down and then while Im screwing on the cap to seal them I push them to the top. It takes me a few tries with the yokomo shocks compared to other brands. Id say stick with the 150 and see if you can force some rebound into them by squeezing them and getting some pressure in them while you spin the cap tight.

I’m not made of money haha and my girlfriend is learning to drift so I didn’t want to put something super fast in it right away. She’s been learning the basic. I have Hobby wing D10 in my Hydra Shark👍🏼

@@cecropiamatt8522 hahaha that’s hilarious. At the time I was working a pretty decent job but that’s no longer the case unfortunately. It’s definitely pricey but not that bad compared to other kits. I think both my shark builds cost around $700 each which isn’t much more than a top end Yokomo car. I also ran the base yd2z for around 3 months before I turned it into a shark so I had some time to save:)
