Interesting these observations of UK houses from the Netherlands especially the roof construction. The roof construction is very different here. Nowadays prefab elements.

Really enjoy your videos. It is apparent that many people don't maintain their homes! A bit manky this one. More videos please.

I'm looking to buy a house at the moment. One we saw today had those stick on polystyrene ceiling tiles and a boiler that dated back to 1983. When I said that'll all need replacing the estate agent said " oh that doesn't need replacing" 🤦♂️. The roof for the summer room attached to the garage had an interesting roof. A piece of perspex with bricks placed in each corner to hold it down. 😂

@@MrDirkles Lol, incredible. It shows the paucity of UK housing stock. It's really quite appalling. My Danish wife is still horrified at British houses despite living here for decades. Hope you find a nice home.

@@doktoruzo I worry about the people that aren't shocked by the state of uk housing ( both new and old). After viewing upwards of 50 houses it is my conclusion that people just can't afford the upkeep.

@@MrDirkles .Yes, fully agree with you! Especially recently with the cost of living rising, inflation etc. It is hard to find decent tradesmen to do jobs and when you do find one, the cost is prohibitive. I don't know the answer.

That brick work is appalling. The leaking vent pipe in the loft is possibly due to condensation in the flexi-pipe & maybe a tear in the fabric. I always recommend solid vent pipes with loose lay insulation put over them. I come across that mould on the ceilings at roof level regularly. There are various causes of it.

New builds are horrible. Every one of them built for maximum profit in mind. Modern day building regs are a mockery too. Give me an old property any day!
