Professor Dr. Geraldine Rauch thanks everyone for their hard work and wishes all at TU Berlin a peaceful break and a great start to 2024
"Bitter cold. Christmas lights twinkling in the dark. Just a few more days to the holidays and the new year, and not to mention a few well-earned days off work. Those final emails are being sent, work completed on shared documents, and offices prepped for the winter break. We are quickly eating up all the remaining chocolate Santas and watering the plants. Labs are being powered down and prepared for the year-end closure. With all this going on, it’s difficult to take a moment to reflect on the many successes of the past year and celebrate what we have achieved. What were your personal highlights? What are you particularly proud of? Who was particularly helpful and supportive this year? Have you had a chance to thank them? I would also like to say a big thank you. TU Berlin has had much to contend with this year. But TU Berlin has also shown that we have a strong sense of unity and help each other. It’s always a pleasure to see what we can achieve together as a university, the innovations we can introduce, and what we stand for as a community. All this is only possible through the hard work and commitment of our many staff and students dedicated to developing and improving our university. Each and every one of you helps make TU Berlin what it is and what it can become. Without your tremendous support, we would not have been able to achieve all that we have."

Finally, Geraldine Rauch reads out some wishes from TU members, which were collected as part of the Advent Magic campaign on 6 December and attached to a wishing tree made by the TU carpenters. Enjoy watching!
