He was in a different league altogether, he might have not won that Brother vs Brother storyline but he was total fire at the time.

In my opinion.... All Vince had to do was not make Diesel Corporate and just let Diesel be Diesel from the 1994 Royal Rumble. Let Him have the belt as a heel in 1995. 94'-I was 23 years old, in a rock band, and having more fun than was legally allowed. I was still somewhat aware of what was going on, but wasn't paying much attention to wrestling. I never seemed to be home to watch anything when it was on, and we didn't have the internet to catch up with everything. The first time the internet became relevant to wrestling for me was when the NWO was exploding into prominence. I remember it well, because I didn't understand the concept of clickbait yet, and was constantly clicking on links on wrestling sites that were making crazy claims, stuff like "HBK Joining NWO!" and I was clicking on every one of them to the point where I'd have like 20 windows open, with none of the open pages having anything even resembling the clickbait I'd clicked on.
@RedyPiper2 ай бұрын
My story is very similar to yours. I stopped watching wrestling around the time Bret Hart beat Ric Flair for the WWF Championship. Got into music, joined a band, and it became my main focus along with the lifestyle and fun that came with it. Then some years later WCW/NWO had taken off and it got popular again. The first PPV I saw was Souled Out in ‘98 I think it was. Bret and Flair wrestled on the card in a very similar match to the WWF one years earlier. I had picked up where I left off and things were coming full circle in a way. Good times and memories throughout it all.

Later on in 94 my best friend Ben gives me a vhs tape at school that had the 94 WrestleMania recorded on it. I took it home and watched it over and over again. I instantly fell in love with the WWF and it was light years agead of what i had seen in the stale wcw shows. Bret Hart instantly became my favorite of all time and i stayed watching his carreer all the way to the wcw where i would stop watching wrestling all together by 1999. 94 to 98 were some of the best times to be a wrestling fan and a kid.
