Hello Team Project Kamp, I'm happy to follow your videos again :) I've got a tip for your insect problem ( basically with flys) I grew up on a farm and my father is almost obsessed with birds. He made so many many bird house around the area and he's feeding them during the winter. That causes that we've got so so many birds and zero flys around my lane. It's insane. Give birdies a home and they will thank you by eating your enemies. If you are more skilled you try with bat homes, we also have some naturally around here. Some nice side effects of birds : 1. They will transport seeds from trees or other vegetation 2. They sing the whole year. It will not kill your traffic noise, but it will make it 50% less annoying, i guarantee ;) Keep the way up like you do know

When I was a kid, living a 15 min walk from where Project Kamp are based (and my family owning farmland a minute away) this surely wasn't my dream :') Don't get me wrong! Me and my neighbours loved playing in the mimosa trees, building forest houses (and the smell of the mimosa tree flowers? OMG! I love it!) and playing on gigantic rocks (there was one we called "the giant turtle"). But there's not a lot to do there and not that many (decent) jobs...

@@rcdmrlI live in a similar place in the island of Sardinia, and I can relate to what you said about not a lot to do or decent jobs around. Even if you are lucky enough to have a decent job, you can't stop working for something like a season and the spare time and energies to build something like this is pure utopia. I hope that what we see here are the first steps in creating more things to do, and more decent jobs based on training people and enjoying this wonderful and sustainable place as active tourists. I will definitely visit this place as soon as I can!

But as you grow up you realise you need a piece of land which governments and other people already claimed. To get access of some small pieces of property, you will have to work ~10-20 years full time and invest a lot of money (time) after which you still have to pay the government yearly so they don't take your property away.

Between 18:50-19:10mins, the de-barking of trees, I'm hoping that you saved/re-utilized the bark, because that is natures twine for less permanent structures. Although, if refined, your bark harvest could have yielded up to 100m of strong sturdy rope. But you'd need to build a rope making tool. They are actually quite simple, you folks should build a couple and try it out. It's Very satisfying to make your own rope.

Wanted to tell you that a few times: Please dont "remove" rust with a rotating wire brush, in reality you will enclose the rust beneath the metal and the rust will grow again some time later. Problem is that you think you have removed all the rust since everything is shiny. Better first use gentle tools like a fan sander, then use rust remover (phosphoric acid) to ensure everything is gone. Then off course use a good quality primer and you wont hear anything from the rust again :)

@Rodrigo-Bras7 ай бұрын
@@kozatas Next to my hometown in central Portugal, Oleiros, we have around 25 couples that live like this, close to nature at its maximum. Most of them don't even have internet or water, they take baths in the rivers or lakes. I’d say this happens mostly in Portugal or Italy, simply because of the weather. Rain not being so common, helps people doing their works on wood or farms, etc.
