Probably the most human song Yeasayer has ever created. Musically and lyrically, it's just instantly relatable.

There's something real special about this album. Not quite sure what it is, but i don't think i've ever felt so strongly for an album as i do for this one.

It gets better the more you listen to it. I'm hearing and appreciating new things I missed when I first heard it on April 1st. Most of the songs shift and change as they progress, instead of repeating in a traditional format. I think this has added more depth than previous albums, and I also think they've been brilliant with layering multiple instruments. I love this particular song, but I also think it's the easiest for most people to listen to. IMO, it doesn't showcase the band's true talents.

This is definitely one of those songs where I first listened to it, liked it, and then actually listened to the lyrics and it took on a whole other meaning and layering. Really the entire album is extremely interesting to consider from a lyric perspective.

Does anyone else get the sense that it's a conversation to a loved one whom killed themselves or am I just weird also I love the Yeasayer fan base never find a mean or pretentious person

i feel like theres a negative conotation to the forgetting and not mentioning to them almost like an ex or someone drifting away from you. I could also see it being related a miscarriage. Tbh the more I look in the lyrics seem a little darker and I see it more as relating to a miscarriage, hopefully its just a song about an ex because that's less brutal lol.

It literally is about one of Anand's close friends dying by suicide.

The start reminds me a bit of There There by Radiohead (my favourite band so a bonus for sure) but the rest, it's just a bit too bland musically for me. Like Yeasayer playing it too safe, or maybe it's the production. I think this whole album is going to sound so much better live.
