Our tears during this performance only show how empathetic we are -- just feeling so heartbroken for this poor woman whose man has betrayed her. I would wonder about anyone who could be un-moved by her wailing out her pain in this song, voice quavering at times and even cracking .... and I even noticed at one point her hands were trembling/shaking -- I'm sure because of all the strong emotion she was feeling.

The first time I heard this song, I thought it was about the overwhelming anguish felt when one is confronted by irrefutable evidence of their lover’s infidelity. But then, I read that Yebba’s mother committed suicide about a week after she sang her first original song; causing "My Mind" to take on new meaning representing mental health. As if the mental illness was taking her mother away 🥺.
