Not all working animals are abused, many farmers and loggers that use horses adore their animals, horse logging can be the only option in environmentally sensitive areas since horses are much less damaging to the environment.
@WhiteHorseStudioArt9 ай бұрын
@@deanfirnatine7814 They most definitely don't "adore" their animals, if they abuse their bodies, and then dump them at an auction to be snatched up by slaughter buyers. That is not love. That is using a living sentient creature for filthy profit. It's more like they love themselves. They love the profit the animal brings them. Not the animal. And once they don't bring any more profit to them, they end up in a slaughterhouse. That's how they repay these animals. This is not love.

@deanfirnatine7814 the problem with using animals for utility at all is that it's inherently normalizing the tendency to see them as objects rather than sentient, gifted beings who deserve love and peace just as much as any human does. I believe that to love animals the way Lee does, using them for utility in *any* capacity is downright off the table. People who truly love animals save them for the sake of the *animal* ... not for what they can do for the human
@lottielane24869 ай бұрын
@@MG-pj2oo Unfortunately, whilst I 1,000 per cent agree, the poorest in the world have no choice but to ,,use,, animals, otherwise they'd starve. Look at the poor donkeys slaving in the Brick kilns in India. But at least organisations are going out to teach them to care for these animals. Like don't make them carry too much weight, feed them, rest them regularly. That at least relieves some of the donkeys work loads. I wish they didn't use them at all. But it's the only living these people have. We can't stand in judgement on them from our well fed, warm houses.

Horses are the best. I had a couple when I was a young teen in NJ, but ironically when we moved to Texas we couldn't bring them with us because we were moving to the suburbs. They are truly special and very intuitive. I'm so glad that you are able to add them to the sanctuary and give them the forever home they deserve.
