I saw that too... I went to adopt a dog who had been abused and was scared of humans but when I went to her foster home, she ran to me and the foster parents said they never saw her do this before. I loved Misha for 15 years and now she is with my 4 other dogs till I see her again!

We need to have stronger laws that will stop puppy mills from doing this. Thank goodness the person that had her realized they could not provide the medical care she needed and gave her up so she would get what was best for her. It really bothered him which shows he cared for her more than his own wants and needs.

Couldn't agree with you more! I'm more than happy for stricter laws when it comes to animal welfare. One of my dogs was born 12 years ago in a puppy mill, right at the tail end when mall pet shops were dying out. Then dumped at 4 months old, malnourished and timid, which is where we came together. My other dog was surrendered by an official breeder last year, because they were really pushing Merle breeding and so 3 of the 6 pups in a litter were deaf or blind, or in my dogs case deaf and almost blind, and I fostered him through a dog rescue that rescues and finds homes for special needs dogs. That was a year ago and this boy is family and always will be. That's why I feel so strongly about strict laws and *definitely* stricter consequences. A lot of mills shut down where I live (Australia) when they made it illegal for their main customer, pet shops, to keep selling puppies, due partly to the mills being exposed publicly and nobody willing to give money to dog abusers, but partly also a lot of these stores also neglecting the puppies....so no decent people in this story!

Many people cannot or will not grasp even slightly complex issues, aren't remotely interested in what's right or wrong, what damage they do to the earth, animals, other humans, and even themselves. To them, a dog is a thing, which makes enforcing laws difficult to enact, much less enforce.

He was acting like it really bothered him that he couldn't give her the medical care that she needs, puppy mill people use "sincerity" as part of their "sales pitch", he had made her pump out the puppies untill her body was ruined and then, when he can no longer use her for his own financial advantage, he uses the same "sincerity" that he used to sell her puppies and to make people believe he was providing her with altruistic care, to make it look like he is "regretfully" letting her go, he's a con, a liar, he isn't heartbroken at not being able to meet her medical needs, he's putting on an act to hide his resentment that she can't make money for him.

He "got rid" of her, he ruined her body through excessive continuous breeding and now that she is unable to produce marketable goods, he puts on his "sincere" act and gets rid of what she has now become, a mouth to feed that doesn't pay for itself, seriously, he doesn't love her, he never did.

No, it looks like he kept her till it was obvious he couldn't get a bunch of very profitable litters out of her, then , when it became apparent that she wasn't gonna be able to be a living ATM, and with the cost of surgery around her hematoma in her ear, did the one slightly better thing, gave her up. Good on him for that, but this dog should never of had to go through any of this, except the end happy home.

He even said she came in to the vet with complications and the original owners didn’t want her anymore since she couldn’t have more puppies, so he kept her until he could find a good home who could afford to care for her and get her the surgery needed.

A few months ago we adopted a Frenchie who was a “mill mom”. She’s so full of love and we are so lucky to have her. She was turned over to a Frenchie rescue group after her purpose was done at the puppy mill. We can end this by adopting rescues; by contacting our legislators to pass laws forbidding the sale of puppy mill dogs at pet stores; by boycotting anything for sale from the Amish as they are responsible for the high number of abused dogs and are the main owners of puppy mills

I had not any idea about the Amish and breeding dogs. Until my daughter checked out a breed she was interested in adopting. She found mother and pups in the dark basement; never saw daylight. Then she asked how much play time with her kids the pups had and was told---NONE. Jean left without the puppy. She had driven 2 hours un the rain, on mountain roads to get there. Please be aware not all people are good breeders.

He’s always so great about telling the stories about the dogs especially about the male big dogs. Lee Maeve ‘s adopting video popped up on my phone today .. yesterday i was so broken to see the video about Maeve’s passing 😢 i was very sad but u gave her a great life!! she was so little but was very active and running around all the dogs.. ultimately u gave her a great life even though she left this world very sadly and so disheartened to hear that you were not even able to spend time with her before her passing🥹🥲
