If you set the Yeelight app to China server aswel you can still control it from Google Home and Mi Home and create scenes and groups in the Yeelight app which you can activate with voice commands in Google Home. And they will work with all the China sensors etc.

nice video man and i like the comparisons you did. i hate that Yeelight staff are not taking anything seriously. they missed like 5-6 times the release date, the released product is NOT what they promised concerning size, power consumption on standby, heat and color accuracy (red is not totally red). a few pointers for future improvement (since i believe that you are good at what you are doing) 1) you had a few typos in the conclusion 2) and on the last video with the cube you had the scrolling boxes showing UNDER the phone. just my two cents in order to help you make these videos even more professional looking

Another great video, thanks! Couple of additions/comments: 1. It's efficient/efficiency not sufficient :) 2. It might be worth mentioning that you can control Mi products via Google Home / Alexa etc if you set up something in the middle, such as Home Assistant. My set up has all my Xiaomi/Yeelight gear connected to the China Mainland server, but then I have a raspberry Pi which exposes the gateway and other devices to Google Home and Alexa. This of course is probably beyond the trouble most people want to go to, but it's certainly an option.
@xiaomify6 жыл бұрын
thanks ;) As for your second point, I actually just received a raspberry to experiment with this scenario. I do think that for most people it is too much hassle, but I want to get myself familiar with it just to see how it works. However, I am starting to feel that I might have to revisit these videos quite soon, as more and more devices start appearing on new servers.

I bought 8 of these to use with the Yeelight app with Alexa. Initially all was well, but it's a regular occurrence for Alexa to report the lights are not working. All returns to normal when I switch them off and back on again. 3 of the lights have stopped working and I had to do a factory reset (on and off 5 times) to rediscover them. One of the bulbs overheats if left on full brightness and then switches itself on and off repeatedly, which results in a factory reset, so I have to go back to the Yeelight App and rediscover the device. As I sit here now its on 30% brightness and flickering. To date I have had no response from Yeelight.
