My uncle does about 50k a year. He lives in lahore and works in ISL. Comes back every weekend to lahore. He changes his vehicle every 1 ro 2 years thanks to his dubai based company. He has so far bought and sold since i moved to pakistan in last 7 years bmw 3 series, audi a6, audi q4 and last year he bought bmw ix3 or something electric which has alraedy done 60k and waiting for the next model.

I considered it but lack of AC vent in rear seat, cramped rear seat and much too compact size made me consider Haval. One observation: 10,000 km oil change is not healthy for our dusty environment.

All new cars give option of 10,000 km since Oil of these new cars KIA ,HAVAL,PEUGEOT,MG has a very thin synthetic oil which can run for 15,000 kilometres so 10k is fine

I own Peugeot since 2 years. Always check oil on 9000 km mark and oil is still good in color and viscosity. Maybe i live in Islamabad but the oil lasts more than 10k km

In Europe we have mostly under 2.0 cars due to government emission regulations. These small displacement engines have turbos to make up for the loss in power they are fun to drive The only downside is they are not long lasting as you are trying to get too much power from a small engine so the engine is mostly at full load.

50 50 ratio works smooth as butter. using only high octane wont increase mileage as the purpose of high octane fuels is to eliminate knocking issues and are considered good for turbo charged engines

Only thing wrong with this car is its price... its more than 1million over-priced. Also in internation market there is known wet timing belt issue, not sure if they are able to fix in the latest generation that is launched in Pakistan.

If it's the 1.2 pure tech engine from Peugeot I would not buy it. This engine has been used in many Peugeot cars and has many issues as this engine uses a wet timing belt which can degrade overtime and cause a loss in oil pressure. To change the belt you have to take apart the engine if not repaired it leads to car burning oil.

From 2022 on wards, 1.2l PureTech engines are chain driven so this should be fine.

@@coolerthannos yes I heard but still the engine had an oil consumption issue don't know if that was fixed as it was caused by poor quality piston rings. The old engine started to burn a lot of oil after reaching 100,000 km.

@@Azan-k3m Turns out the one in Pakistan is using the wet belt. But it's pretty easy to spot if it's damaged or not, just remove the oil filler cap and you can see it. If it's cracked then get it replaced and get the oil intake sump cleaned. It's recommended to check it every service internal which is 10,000kms. I just bought the car so I'll be keeping an eye on it. The problem occurs if the oil intake sump is not cleaned after you replace the belt and you let the debris remain, you get low oil pressure and oil starvation which causes oil consumption issue.
