When asked, he’s always said that his favorite rapper of all time was DMX. Yelawolf was a country boy who started early with Run DMC and old schoolers. Neither one idolized Eminem. Although, he was most definitely a great inspiration as an accomplished white rapper who’s mastered his craft. As far as Eminem’s opinions and compliments, .... who cares. He’s not an expert on what’s good or not. To put it simple...,,, Em is a student of the art of rapping. That’s it. MGK isn’t as good as Em, technically ..... but is a far better artist.

Once he forfilled his contract went back to being independent. Sorry but whatever Interscope makes from MGK is not big money. MGK is only worth 2 million dollars and his first album dropped 10 years ago which is nothing compared to other artist. Interscope doesn't even push his albums (because they know they won'tget that money back and MGK even said that in the interview), MGK relies on KZbin for promotion so if Interscope does puts only little bit of money for KZbin trending that's not really much spending for them...
