These type of rappers don't know even any basic history of hip hop proven by interviews so I think it's alluding to that, it's important in hip hop culture to know the roots. The song you talking about could be why he especially chose Kanye for the line (or because he is one of the biggest and popped up around these guys being kids) but he is defininetly talking to all of Lil Pump type of artists.
