Especially what he did with his love story album , Em allowing Yela to create that album all on his own & that album was proof of his mind blowing ,unmatched talent! to blend different genres ,write every song & ppl dismissing it bc all are so quick to hate on him for his upbringing on the flag bs is unfortunate cause I noticed that’s when his hype started fading. But I’m a slumerican for life got the tattoos and all ⚡️⚡️

'You don't seem to know the history of the flag. Although what we now know as the dixie flag was first created and flown during the civil war, it was one of many of the confederate flags and wasn't the flag that people during the civil war period would recognize as their flag. People in the south didn't begin to fly it as a symbol of their "pride" until the 1950's when the civil rights movement began. It was flown as a symbol of white supremacy and that racism will never die in the south.

I'm from South Georgia I moved to California at a very young age and I my first taste of music was country real country music where guys like Waylon Jennings and Johnny Cash were telling stories thru their music my uncle wrote for Molly hatchet my grandpa played guitar and I learned to love the simplicity of what southern music was when I moved to California I was introduced to hip hop and rap and the two guys that got me were iceT and 2pac because their music was just like country music they told stories I had a poster of 2pac on my wall my entire childhood and I guess if that was it everyone would have been fine but I flew the rebel flag and everyone lost their shit over it didn't matter that my stepdad was black or that I have mixed siblings it didn't matter that I could quote everything 2pac ever said people from California just saw that flag and assumed they knew what it means The truth is California is the most racist place I've ever been and I'm very well traveled it's a place where folks smile at each other and then say fucked up shit when you leave the room because their too scared to say or do anything that might get a reaction they'd tell me I don't have the right to have an opinion on the Confederate flag because I'm white .... MF it was my ancestors fighting under it what the fuck do you mean I can't have an opinion I'm sure there's a lot of people who understand where I'm coming from and I'm sure there's a lot of people who won't and they'll ignorantly try to piece it together but that's my story

Its because the flag causes mass paranoia dude. Out where you're from they use to use black babies as bate for alligators. Im not saying you're apart of that, or that youre not a kind-hearted, meaning- well person. It's moreso that the flag carries so much controversy, it's one of those things that might be better off being buried in history, just like the Extremist Rastafarian flag. Both have come from a place of hatred, and therefore will cause controversial paranoia
@tough41295 жыл бұрын
@@deazy6453 you obviously haven't been to the south. People in California would flip the second they see a black person wearing boots, and im in Florida, a lotta Georgia is black too, obviously there are racist people and people who hold prejudice everywhere. Over half the student population at my high school was black. There is more to that flag than just slavery and racism. i got news for ya north had racists like the south, most countries around the world are racist to Europeans and Americans. Does hanging the rainbow pride flag make you gay? or could you just show support for someone like a friend or family member? You can't judge a person off a certain detail, as you can't judge a book by it's cover. Some people might interpret a black lives matter or blue lives matter flag/shirt as offensive or hateful. We are in the USA where we are supposed to be free, we have freedom of speech, freedom of religion, but it seems as though we have no freedom of expression.

it's not even remotely hipster as far as the hip hop-country deal goes. You got Luke Bryan and Jason Aldean doing that cheesy, bro-truck "country" horseshit.
