Y’all, I literally spent $6.29 for a bottle of Gatorade at Midway airport in Chicago. I get that airports charge more than usual, which already pisses me off. I usually buy Gatorade whenever I’m at the airport, and this is the first time I spent this much on it. A small latte is cheaper! Just send me to Jupiter.

I would have loved an hours worth of this because man shrinkflation, not to mention the quality of things has gone to hell to. Doritos don't have as much cheese powder anymore, they break more easily now. Popsicles (the yasso bars i like) are more icy instead of creamy, would love an episode on how the quality and amout of things has gone down

I totally hear you! It's frustrating to see the quality of our favorite snacks decline. A deep dive into shrinkflation definitely sounds like a fun episode idea!

You should collab with some people from the Midwest and East Coast to compare costs of things. I’m in Chicago and the prices you are paying are outrageous.

I’m in St. Louis, and I just mocked up Dev’s Subway order and, yeah, it came to $14.96!! 🤯 This is why I quit chains. If I’m going to pay $10 or more for a sandwich, I want that money to go to a family instead of a corporation. Local, family owned restaurants need my money way more than Subway or Shake Shack.

I'm in Mississippi. A basic hamburger combo for just two is over 20. Everywhere is outrageous.

You were joking about a 5 cent burger but I did a little google search and when my parents were born in the 1950s a McDonald's burger was literally 15 cents 😭 Today in my area they're $4.99. That's a 3226.67% increase!!

Wow, that's some serious inflation! It's wild to see how prices have changed over the decades. Thanks for sharing that interesting fact!

OH, I’ve got one. I went to a night market in my town last month , and saw a local little food truck with their own canned sodas. Emphasis on the word canned. The price was not listed, but I thought ‘what the heck? Let me support these little sweet ladies’ and got a can. They literally bag up my one can of soda and ring me up. SEVEN. WHOLE. DOLL. HAIRS. For a friggin can of soda. I live in a suburb of Atlanta 😂

Yesterday we took my 2 nieces to DQ. For 4 meals and small blizzards it was $106. ONE HUNDRED AND SIX DOLLARS FOR FAST FOOD?
