Couldn't agree more. I can't help but think about how I'd feel if I was one of the women who not only didn't consent to having there FB photos used in that way but also had personal details searched. It would be different if women where submitting there photos as willing participants. Possibly even stock photos of women that he didn't know, at least it's public domain, but even that would be pushing it in my opinion. The fact that all his "online friends" got caught eventually acting on these 'fantasies' is quite telling, and I'm sure somewhere out there someone is asking why something wasn't done to those men before it got to that point. Also, police typically want to "lure" you out of your home for their safety, especially when the person is known to have weapons inside, such as a fellow law enforcement agent. They don't know the layout of the home or where the weapons are, so a controlled environment, such as a hallway is safer for all involved.

He accessed through police records for convenience, not because it was privileged information. That would be FBI and CIA records. As exposed by Edward Snowden. I’m not defending the guy, I just think people should be more aware of all of the information that is available online. It was numbers and addresses. That information is available online. I think you can take measures to scrub personal information from the internet, but it’s not necessarily easy.
