இரண்டு மாதங்களுக்கு முன் திருவனந்தபுரம் சென்றிருந்தேன். கோணங்கியிடம் நகுலன் வீட்டைப் பார்க்க வேண்டும் என முகவரி கேட்டேன். உள்ளூரில் அமைந்த நண்பர்கள் உதவ எளிதாக வீட்டைக் கண்டடைந்தோம் இரவு நேர புறக்காட்சியாக மட்டும். இந்தப் படத்தை அன்றைய தினத்தின் தொடர் அனுபவமாகவே கண்டு அனுபவித்தேன். மனநிறைவு அடைகிறேன்.

நினைவுப் பாதையில் மஞ்சள் பூனை எப்போதும் முதியர்களிடம் உரையாடுவது அல்லது வெருமனே அவர்களை பார்த்துக் கொண்டிருப்பது எமக்கு பிடித்தமான செயல். அவ்விதம் வேடிக்கை பார்த்த எல்லா முதியோர்களும் முதிர்ந்தவர்களல்ல என்பதே எம் அனுபவம். அவ்வகையில் எமக்கு இப்படி ஒரு முதியவரை அருகிலிருந்து அவதானிக்கும் வாய்ப்பை ஏற்படுத்திக் கொடுத்த ஒளிப்பதிவாளர் இயக்குநர் பாண்டியராஜுக்கு நன்றி. இதில் கூடுதல் மகிழ்ச்சி என்னவென்றால் இம்முறை நாம் வேடிக்கை பார்த்த வயோதிகர் தனித்துவமிக்க தமிழ் எழுத்தாளர், திரு. நகுலன் என்பதே. இப்படத்தில் நகுலனின் வார்த்தை சிரிப்பு மௌனம் அனைத்தும் அர்த்தம் பொதிந்தவை. அவர் தம் அனுபவம் பகிர அதை கருப்பு வெள்ளையில் காட்சிப் படுத்தி அதை கணேஷ் நந்தகுமார் வெட்டி ஒட்டிய விதத்தில் நகுலனின் ஞானம் நம்முள் பல்வகைகளில் ஊடுருவுகிறது. வினீத்தின் மெல்லிய பின்னணி இசை கணேஷின் ஒலி வடிவமைப்பு சேர்ந்து படமாகிய விதம் செவ்வியல் தரம். ராபர்ட் ப்ரஸானின் லென்ஸ், கொதார்த்தின் கத்தரி, பெர்க்மனின் எளிமை மற்றும் அழகியலை ஒன்றாக அனுபவித்த பரவசம். நன்றி. Nakulan is my favorite. Surprised to see him recorded. Thanks for this film. The Non-linear editing pattern of this documentry is reflecting randomness and cluelessness of Nakulan's writings. Some Shots were poetic and i felt the solitude through it.
