I am so glad I discovered this youtube channel. Looks like a lot of fun. I am addicted to fishing but one thing I would like to know... since I am new at fishing... is there an easy way to de hook a fish once caught? It seems to take me a long time to get the hook out - using doa shrimp that have a barb on it... are barbless hooks reliable? Would that make de hooking waay easier for me?

The purpose of using an e-reel is to catch fish at extraordinary depths. Had you chosen to manually fight the fish at 900+ft youre talking 45 mins or more of trying to bring those fish in. With that said if youre trying to catch a quick dinner then use the e-reel, thats really the whole purpose of it imo.

I think calling this fishing is incorrect. It is automated catching. Bums me out to see this promoted as part of the sport. Electric reel fishing is not sporting at all.
