You might like Pelikan Edelstein Golden Beryl the base color is darker than sparkling champagne and the shimmer that lays down on top really pops and gives it a beautiful actual gold color of gold which is super nice :)

If you like the R. Oster "Heart Of Gold," I'd suggest Pelikan Golden Beryl. It is amazing.

The DeAtramentis Document Yellow is really more meant for mixing with their other document inks. I’ve made a nice ochre with it, and some turquoise mixes. I think some of the other yellows and lime yellow are also used for mixing. My favorite yellow so far is Diamine Honey Burst. But it can be a little dry. I would like to try Diamine Sunshine Yellow. I do like the warm bright yellows, but definitely sometimes have to add a touch of another color to them to darken them.

I didn't know about the mixing of document inks, that is fabulous information! I may do that with all the light inks I have now haha

I used yellow for highlighting. So no mixing necessary on my end and the lighter the better!

I haven't had issues with the Robert Oster shimmers at all. Diamine and Colorverse always seem to be the ones that give me trouble haha. But I'm sure it is user error. If you have a dip pen you can always write shimmer with it with no problems!

I went out of my comfort zone with getting a couple yellows. I have the R & K Helianthus sunflower. It is a beautiful ink but had a hard time reading it. I have a couple of the others but don't grab for them. Heart of Gold is beautiful.

I've wanted to try the R&K Helianthus sunflower but I haven't made the plunge. Yellow ink is a tough one to find that is for sure! Legibility is tough!

@@mydandeliondiaries the ink is really pretty and dries legible. It's when Im actually writing with it that bothers me. I journaled with it for a couple days and I just didn't like it until it dried. I will probably use it for water color flowers now.
