I still have my Roland micro composer MC-8. I bought serial number 13 back in 1976. The German group tangerine dream bought the serial number 9. I was 24 years old at the time and I used it every day composing and programming music, it was slow to work with but it could play anything. And what I loved about it. If you have a timebase like 196 for a quarter note. You are no longer limited to silly 4/4 grid with 16 16th notes that you so often get today on DAWs. You were free to do whatever you want. If you want to program 13 against 19, no problem! Daisukii!
