It's hard to go back to Smite 1 after grinding Smite 2, the QOL changes are too good

You can totally port a game from UE3 (with a modified engine) to UE5, but it would take way more time than doing it from the ground up

Yeah that threw me off, especially when he said that *while* lambasting somebody about supposed lack of game Dev knowledge, the irony had me rolling.

For the purpose of what people claim, that's basically the same thing. Of course you CAN port it but people in the community claim that you can just copy-paste SMITE 1 into a new engine with minimal work which is not even close to the case. If that were true they would've done that YEARS ago instead of staying on an engine made in the early 2000s.

0:12 smite 1 has some many problems with its code that it just becomes time consuming to port it over. UE5 and UE3 are very different as smite 1 is built on UE3 which is very outdated compared to UE5 which is industry standard.

The background music in these streams/videos is always sooo loud and distracting, it could be half as loud and I think it would be fine!
