I met Wilf in 1953 in Bonaviata NL and again in 1984 at Deer Lake NL, a great Guy.
Wilf Carter was an artist who sang true country music. RIP Wilf, from a fan in New Zealand.

Great song, I wonder if you could please put up the 1960s version of “I’m Gonna ride to heaven on a streamlined train” and I miss my Swiss for me, as well as the song “Rocking alone in an old rocking chair” love those songs so much, you don’t hear them playing on radio or tv much anymore, great stuff.👍🏾🙂

Real Yellow Rose of Texas was Santa Ana's Creole mistress, who I guess, being creole was part black....listen to the song at 28 seconds "Sweetest girl of color, these eyes have ever seen"

Complete history of Emily Morgan exists on the "steiner" version "Yellow Rose of Texas". You just have to filter through a lot of negative comments to find it. The most important fact about her was that she was an American.
