Um I'm pretty sure not changing the original album too much was the goal of this. They changed the original enough to make it somewhat new. But the main goal of an OA acoustic was to bring back the nostalgic feelings of the original album, not to experiment with new sounds etc. It's a 10 year anniversary album, not a band looking to experiment...

They finally soften the drums on the last track. I expected much better throughout. This album lacks the contrast that made the acoustic version of "When You're Through Thinking, Say Yes" so good. They hardly experimented with anything on this album. It's the songs played exactly the same, but with acoustic guitars. I'd rather pay again to complete the original album, than settle for it's watered down version. The songs aren't bad, it's just nowhere in the vicinity of what they're capable of...
