You guys had a tuna slaughter going on! Really like that blue wrapped rod you used. Looks like everyone got hooked up. Great video. 😎

I fished the Tribute last year for the first time & they were great. I'm going again on the Tribute this October for a 2 day trip. Captain Mike & the crew are awesome!

Skippies taste great seared, raw or grilled within 12 hours. Otherwise I smoke them or save them for lobster bait. These videos are keeping my hyped up for this season.

6:26 "pulled too hard" Better reassess that. Your leader never failed, so it wasn't a problem in exceeding drag or 'pulling too hard'. I don't think the real problem is found at the failure point. Instead, I think the problem occurred earlier: poor hook set. (not saying you did anything wrong, but clearly the hook set wasn't ideal if the hook popped out)

GoBIGclan yeah those fish are swimming fast when they slurp a bait up, you never know where that hook is guna land. I’ve been fishing a lot more circle hooks since that trip
@GoBIGclan4 жыл бұрын
@@mdirtbike Yeah circle hooks are great especially when fishing lighter leaders. I lost one three days ago on a run off. I chalked it up to using 50lb seaguar premier (its all I had left) vs blue label. But then I watched a Jordan Peterson video haha and he talked about how symptoms are often mistaken as the root problem, but treating the symptom only doesnt solve the whole thing. Well that sparked the idea that maybe my line breaking was symptom of an earlier problem. Sure enough I remembered the hookset was very strange bc the fish was swimming towards me. Now I actually think that was the real problem! Tight lines!
