I dealt with cold angry skies like that in July in British Columbia. It was cold and moist before we even started riding.

There is something tranquil and beautiful about riding in those conditions...in my mind anyway. The only part about it that had me concerned ( with the temperatures just one degree away from the freezing point) was, how was I going to find out if and when the roads would become icy...1. Would I just slide right off the highway as I rounded a curve? 2. Would I get lucky and realize it as I came up to a stop sign (which there are very few of on that route)? or 3. Would the bike just drop out from under me at 70 mph with no warning? But, none of the above happened...luckily! I was also lucky there was no wind. I think with a wind chill, the roads would have been covered in ice. British Columbia....what a beautiful place! I rode through BC in very similar conditions myself. It wasn't quite as cold as Wyoming, but it was very close. Those "cold, angry" skies followed me through a good part of The Yukon Territory too. But once again, it was tranquil and beautiful though. I really enjoyed it. Thanks so much for taking the time to watch.

May, Wyoming, like the long boring shots of the landscape. Get a feel for it rather than beauty shots. Segment 8 of the 2015 Alaska trip in Jasper Banff was similar. Liked it very much. Will pass through there in July 2020.

Blake, thanks very much. There's something hauntingly attractive though, about that long, boring landscape! It just seems to swallow me up! Enjoy your 2020 ride and thanks so much for watching.

Beautiful video... however, my hands and feet went numb from the cold while watching it. Was it as cold as it seemed? You guys just seemed to cruise through the park like it was July.

Pierre, glad to see you're still following along. Thanks. It was cold. Had the heated grips on through the whole ride. But at lower speeds through the parks, it was bearable. But the next day at highway speeds I was freezing (as you'll see in Part 3). On top of that, my brand new heated jacket liner didn't work! But as they say...my worst day of riding is better than my best day at work. It was still a fantastic trip!

Ah Terry, you are lucky to live in a country which has everything a biker can dream of. Nice video again. By the way, love the new camera angle. No more windscreen video's. What do you use to attach the gopro to the front of your helmet ?

Thanks Erik. There really is a lot of places to ride to here...and relatively close too. Although I wouldn't mind taking a trip in your country again...in more detail though! I'm using the "Pro Shot" helmet mount. Best method I've found so far and I've tried a lot of them too. It's light and easy to attach to the helmet. Easy to attach the camera to it also. The GoPro Hero 7 Black opened up a whole new world of smooth shooting on a motorcycle. The stabilization is incredible. Here's the link to Proshot. About $32.00 (US dollars). www.proshotcam.com/ Talk to ya soon Erik. Thanks again.
