@simplymaterial2 ай бұрын
@@technofilejr3401 I don’t fault you for that, it’s hard to like her at first because you only see her walls and her shell. She’s so ruthless and seems so hard to approach, so you can’t imagine her being nice 🤣 but when you start seeing her vulnerable side and the layers start peeling off, you definitely warm up to her. It also makes her vulnerable side all the more appealing to me. And yes, everything she does is for her father, her family 🤧

Horses will absolutely feed off a nervous rider, my old coach called it having a hot seat. The more you tense, the more the horse tenses until something explodes. I always read it as Beth’s mom trying to give her the drive to conquer her fear by giving her a goal. I’m pretty sure her mom knew she was dying and didn’t want Beth to be the one sitting with her when it happened, feeling helpless & blaming herself forever. It is gut wrenching. In John’s world, it doesn’t matter if Beth beat the hell out of Jaime, men do not hit women. Old fashioned, but just his mindset. One thing I love about Yellowstone is that it doesn’t flinch from the harsh realities of the Rez & the struggles the people who live there face. At the end of the day, Thomas played politics with John & it was an ordinary family that paid the price. Now those kids are orphans. It’s always ordinary people hurt when politicians go to war with each other.

@reaps88072 ай бұрын
I see the news and PC police got to you. I'm Native American/Indian. This whole "they need to be called indigenous now" stuff is news to me. I don't like it either. Indigenous makes me and my people sound like a bunch of cavemen. I find it more offensive than Native American/Indian. Plus "Indian" is in the name of the tribe I'm part of, and where I live, we still call ourselves Native American. And I sort of pay attention to what is going on, and there has been zero talks of changing the name of the tribe to remove "Indian" and I have heard no other tribe members say "we are indigenous." My whole family still says Native American. Whoever started this indigenous nonsense I think is just looking for some bonus points from Native Americans/Indians, although they aren't getting anything from me. I find indigenous more offensive than Native American/Indian. There is nothing PC about indigenous.

I absolutely love this TV show. Superb writing and holy crap, amazing acting. Everbody and their neighboor in Hollywood wants to write girl bosses nowadays and they are sooo bad its painful to watch. Beth has rmotivations that feels real, her dialogues feels like something a person with her backstory and personality would say. She is savage, messy, ruthless and extremely driven. She also happens to be a woman. But thats on the 5th page of her character's traits. She has so many layers her middle name is onion. This is what competent writing looks like, no wonder the actors love this show, a role like this is super rare nowadays. And from the audience standpoint, if the character is written like her, literally nobocy cares about her gender. Most people have no problem with strong female characters, we have a problems with incompetnetly written female characters. She is a badass but not becasue every male around her is written to be an incompetent whimp so she can stand out. I wish the rest of the writers in Hollywood would be just half as competent than the team working on this show.
