Has anybody noticed the Parallels between Yellowstone & The Godfather ? It seems they've exchanged Fodoras for Cowboy Hats . They both started out struggling pioneers overcome with desperation & turning toward a darker roll to deal with it. What they build from it becomes their legacy & there's no holes bared in what they do to keep it. On top of that the opening & closing orchestration sounds an awful lot like the Godfather theme.song.

Yellowstone watchers...Near the end of season 3 episode 10, when Rip calls Jamie and says something like, he can't find anybody, not Beth, not your dad, not Kacey. Jamie replies "Rip I don't think you should call them anymore". Did any else realize that the writers of the show made a mistake. This line shows that Jamie knew they were all going to be dead, especially since some of them got shot after the phone call between Rip and Jamie. However, in Season 4, Jamie didn't know this was going to happen, why nobody tried to kill him and who hired the mercenaries. So does anybody know another reason that Jamie told Rip "I don't think you should call them anymore"?.

I was heartbroken when Longmire hung-up their Stetson for good. TV executives just keep forgetting us adults over the age of 40 that don't like comedy's or reality TV. Someone suggested I watch Yellowstone as it was a pretty good show. I was stubborn, as no show could measure up to Longmire; well, I started watching Yellowstone at season 2. I'm hooked. Great show, great actors, great storyline! Go Yellowstone!!

When I was a basic EMT training to be a paramedic, I used to work rodeo standbys for a local ambulance company that had the county contract. Cowboys are without a doubt the toughest people I've EVER seen. These guys can suffer untold physical trauma and will still refuse treatment and transport. You almost hope they lose consciousness so conscent is implied and you can do your job. We did horse racetrack standbys also, and jockeys are a pretty tough breed too. We had one who was kicked in the head and we had to wait for him to pass out so we could take him in. He ended up having a subdural hematoma. The bleed stopped on its own, but it could've easily been fatal if it hadn't.

Very peaceful, some nice fishing and horseback riding nearby but not a lot of automatic gun fire, 1883 style land wars, or angry members of the Wallowa band of the Nez pierce Indian tribe plotting murder to regain the land. lol!! In fact the ranch is a tribute to Chief Joseph their historic tribe leader . The writers seemed to have mixed the series" Animal kingdom" with cattle ranching and its quite silly however they are going to amend their overkill by making a true western about 1883 Montana called "1883" Enjoy

@@lmae989 having worked cattle, it’s exiting to do, but not exiting to watch. There are always people that infringe on others’ land. City slickers buying landlocked plots, causing them to trespass without communication to landowners. Oilfield employees poking around, illegal hunters spotlighting. Both my dad, and grandad have shot at people coming in at night to hunt without permission. Then you account for drug manufactures, and you have a whole other deal. Texas is different than most places, but barbed wire is the same everywhere, and it doesn’t always keep people out. It’s a television show, by the way. There’s going to be more violence and drama than normal.

God it's so much pain waiting for Season 4. This is the best show ever. The only other show that had equal suspense, was "People of Earth" which they cancelled, because it was beginning to be too revealing. But in terms of raw acting and script, and scenery, nothing compares to Yellowstone.

I think it would be really cool/ interesting to see the back story of how Kayce got his brand. He and John have both mentioned that it was John who 'did that' to him, and some variation of why, but a flashback showing it would be awesome. I would love to see that in S4.

Kevin Costner' s character John Dutton is a class enemy I do respect. All other actors and actresses works are also exceptional - I believe that Beth Dutton is one of best female characters of nowadays. I love all Sheridan's works as well. I just can't get into one thing - in US movies people are getting decades in jail for some barely understandable manipulations with Securities but here we see that both protagonists and antagonists walk knee-deep in blood, they murder people left and right and their crimes never get punished by the law. How come? With all that fancy police all around instantly appearing at every scene? And in any case - retribution (in an eye-for-an-eye carma way ) comes only to Dutton's enemies and never to Dutton's family. That said Duttons are protagonists - and we wish them luck, but that "luck" includes "The Long Black Train"... And this moral dilemma makes this series great 18+ work - it always challenges your morals. One more thig to mention: Absolutely amazing work of everybody connected to horses - all horses scenes are very-very beautiful. Thank You, the crew, the cast and the production - you are creating one of most interesting shows today!

If you notice many of the police are the same police- especially in small counties but also areas such as this where there is not a city in up to hundreds of miles- everyone knows everyone- went to church/school with each other grew up etc- they help each other with favors or owe favors everyone has atleast one person that knows of their skeletons or can be bought with money- perhaps the police chiefs uncle is also a rancher and has a close relationship with the duttons- This happens everywhere- some small towns are only farming communities there may not be a lot of murder but there are a lot of politics and the judge is usually somehow down the line related to the district Atty and several of the lawyers

@@aprilcasey1078 Yes, I agree with you - same in our country - such "Dutton" always has a judge, attorney, police as his relatives. That's why this series is universally understandable - you can recognize familiar things no matter if you are from US, Russia, India or else.

Well said. Whenever I talk to my son about the "wrongs" committed by the Duttons, he knows it's true but really likes John, Kayce, Beth and Rip, so he doesn't want to acknowledge that the Duttons and their crew have done some really shady things without retribution. That said, I still root for the Duttons to win all battles against their adversaries. Jamie, not so much. .... PEACE.

I don't think it does. I have heard that they will have two spin offs. One is about the 4-6s and the other is 1883 and I think it is supposed to be how Yellowstone got started. All of them look outstanding!!!

Yellowstone is beautfully shot, but the characters are all horrible in the first two seasons (except maybe Rip) and the sadistic violence is worse. Nothing to do with cowboys, this is a mob show. Sopranos on the range. Third season is much better, fortunately. Fourth is a mob show turning into soap opera.

Here is something to ponder. We all know about the carnage that happens at the end of the season 3 finale. Go back and watch season 3, episode 1 and watch the scene when John and Tate are talking about dreams. Did the carnage really happen or was John having a nightmare and will wake up in a sweat ?
