Thanks for the memories and video, Mr. Rainey. This was my airport growing up. I thought it was so cool even before the remodel when I was a kid. I use to fly from SJC to John Wayne International Airport in your neck of the woods and back for Disneyland, DCA, and Universal Studios and never experienced any issues (Flight delays, cancellations, etc) in both airports. SJC is even more legit now because it now offers international flights to London and Japan

Hi Chris. Thanks for the walking tour. It might be a small airport, but it's clean and has food options. It also has a place for kids to release some energy before boarding a flight. Very nice touch. The gates are lined up in a row so it's very easy to get to your gate and not get lost. Thanks again and take care.

I was there in October for the first time. A really convenient airport! Just like my home airport of CMH it's so easy to get in and out. I hope to be coming back to SJC more often.

Can't believe that elevator to the lounge is still broken. It was out of service when I was there in May. The lounge did have some Sierra Nevada beers on draft.

As someone who has gone through SJC twice in the past year, I have to agree with you that it is better than SFO especially when it comes to delays like you mentioned. I also like how the two terminals are connected together in a long line making it easy to connect to your gate without having to take a tram between security & the gate. The food options at SJC are quite impressive and my favorite is Trader Vics. The only thing SJC really needs to improve on in my view is making the Uber/Lyft pickup area a little bigger because it can be hard for the drivers to find you during peak times when everyone is getting picked up plus the Uber/Lyft pickup area is right next to hotel shuttle pickup area which only adds to the confusion. Other than that, SJC is one of the best airports I have been in.

That airport looks quite nice. I'm glad to hear that there are less delays due to weather at that airport compared to SFO. It's too bad that there aren't any nonstop flights to/from Detroit though.

How far is the light rail station from SJC? Can you walk to it safely or is it a bit far/dodgy?

It's about a 25 minute walk to the light rail station... I'd say it's a bit far... probably really nobody walks it.

Thanks for reviewing my home airport! Important tip: Head to baggage claim and get your bags before using the bathroom. There have been reports of homeless people stealing bags from the carousel.

I have been to that airport to pick someone up but I have never been inside that airport i live near San Francisco so I usually fly out of SFO or Oakland airport.
