I just moved to San Diego from Temecula. Pizza Port in Carlsbad is my favorite Pizza. So glad they opened in Belmont Park when I saw that 2 weeks ago.

Thank you.! when i moved to San Diego in 1988,I think the rollercoaster was shut down. In a few yrs. they renovated it and the pool. I loved going on that roller coaster, not too scary, shook a lot, and great views of the ocean. It's great to see more rides, and shops, and places to eat. I liked Pacific beach. I also went to Ocean beach the pier was so long and amazing. I did go to La Jolla cove and shore. Nice. Also Coranado beach, nice but windy. I live there only 4yrs. and still miss it

Hi Chris. Thanks for the walking tour. It's nice that there is no admission fee to enter and enjoy the park. It's a nice park where you can leisurely enjoy and have fun without rushing around to get to the attractions. I love the wooden roller coaster. Not many around especially those that are a 100 years old. Thanks for sharing and take care.

Thanks Chris !!!! Brought back tons of memories for me, as I used to visit regularly as a kid in the late 60's. Didn't recognize much, but the Dipper is the same, and the Plunge is familiar (even though it has been renovated). We used to spend all our quarters in a gravity-rotor drum ride (that I can't remember the name of) that is long gone 🙂

Yeah. The plunge was like completely tore down and rebuilt. Glad to being back some memories

Nice to see you occasionally still covering San Diego and it’s attractions! Do your folks still live down here?

So sad that they closed Wave House. Belmont Park is cheezy but Wave House was a highlight of a trip to San Diego and a great place to hang out.

I've never stayed there. But downtown San Diego is kind of a mixed bag. Lots of hotels and restaurants. But also lots of homeless
