I'd say that he's turning up the awkward character as to seem genuinely novice and confused. In his intros, when he monologues to the camera, and when he confronts the business owner with the negative reviews- He displays bonfide confidence and heightened social awareness. For instance, you see him try to soften the blows of the critiques and ask about the reviews in a non incriminating way as to respect the business owner. He is a digital journalist after all- working for vice, who doesn't shy away from intellectually stimulating and culturally inclusive content. They probably aim to hire socially aware, intellectual, and charismatic individuals. That's my perspective on the matter. :)

@@billblaski9523 Loved his response. It was very healthy. However, from what I saw, her words appeared to hurt him. His eyes, body language, and confusion seemed to reveal that. It's surprising how someone who doesn't know you can say things that rock you to your core-even if it's just for a little while. No matter how healthy someone is, words can still stun and wound. No one is impenetrable. We wear masks that can give the appearance that we're "okay" (maybe even strong), but behind it we're disillusioned and bleeding. I still remember things that strangers have screamed at me while they drove past as I was walking. The immediacy of it can shake you up. After stuff like that, it takes time to ground yourself back in reality.
