Wow I can't believe it actually worked!! I've been searching for a solution for months. I did so many things, went to multiple phone repair places, they told me that the sim card reader is broken and there is nothing you can do except replacing the entire motherboard. You nailed it!. My Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus occasionally would say "no sim card". It then started to get very slow online. Even the number of bars dropped. I tried everything else, but no luck. The "no sim card" message had actually gone away, but the signal was always weak. So I remembered that error message today and found your video. I followed every step & that's why I'm now able to type this thank you message on your upload. It worked a treat. Nice work!

I spent a whole DAY trying to sort-out my micro sd card, and I just ended-up chucking it in the bucket. Tried it in 3 different modern devices, and every one gave the message 'no sd card inserted'. Tried absolutely EVERYTHING. Once a card get's REALLY corrupted or compromised, you can't even re-format it, believe me. You can only re-format it IF the device recognises it, so you're back to square one again.

Update: it didn't work because it's not a software issue. These phones are too thin and they bend slightly out of shape when you put a phone case on. Someone suggested to use electrician tape to secure the SIM into place. It's a tight space, so be careful to only use one layer of tape. I've done it on my phone and so far so good. If you don't want to do that, then just take off the phone's case.

If you bought your Galaxy phone in Korea, USA, or Canada, the only SIM cards supported are those from the same country that your phone was purchased from (even for unlocked variants). For example, you can't use a Rogers SIM (Canada) into a US S22 Ultra. A network unlock won't do you any good; it just unlocks the other SIM cards within your home region.

Check under 'Settings,' 'Connections,' 'Network,' 'Access Point.' There, you will find a multitude of settings, one of which is a number called MNC (Mobile Network Code). Each network operator has a unique number; for instance, AT&T's is 410, whereas for an AT&T reseller, it may be 280. If you've strayed from your usual service area and subsequently returned, and your phone has incorrectly updated the MNC, then you might encounter issues. In such a case, your best bet would be to contact the reseller about this problem.
