@@xraye_ yes I agree, but I still think philosophically speaking, her outside transformation did not give her inner peace. Its like that for us too. If we dont have self esteem and tell ourselfes "okay when I loose 10 pounds I wil have more self esteem", than you notice you dont have it. In my case I was like "okay when I finish university, I will have more self esteem", but It didnt give me any. And I think the power and beautiy didnt give her a lot "inside".

Yennifer's best friend imo is Tissaia, the only mother/teacher figure that really "saved" her life. Although Geralt loves her and saves her at times, it is Tissaia who understands Yennifer the most. Yennifer chose "Power" because she was nothing. She was worth less than a pig on a farm. She was deformed and she got beauty. She was powerless, and she got magic. She wanted to be loved, and she was. At first view, I was upset with Yennifer's lack of humility after she gained love and beauty, but upon further reflection, I understand her motivations more. There is no point returning her spirit/thoughts to that deformed "worthless" unloved girl after she became a beautiful powerful swan.

I'm going to be honest here. After my Initial hype of the series, the rose-tinted glasses have come off, and, in retrospect, the first season was largely underwhelming, especially so as both a lover of the books and the games. There's no doubt Anya would have been even more phenomenal had she been given a better script to work with; but sadly, in some scenes, Yennefer comes across as a petulant teenager where she was supposed to have been an already experienced mage. It could be argued, of course, that CD Red took many liberties in their games as well, and this is certainly true. However, I still felt the deep love and appreciation for the source material coursing through every questline, whereas with Hissrich...I suppose one can only hope they'll stick to more consistent storytelling in the future. Regardless, this is a magnificent video that really emphasizes on Yennefer as a character.

I really liked the Witcher games,played through all 3 of them yet I couldn't bring myself to watch this series past the first episode,it just did not feel at all like Slavic high fantasy folklore that I really wanted to experience and this doesn't help,this doesn't look like the yennefer it suppose to be.
