I love how after game 2 all you heard about was how bad Aaron Judge was hitting and how the Yankees weren't a championship team because they couldn't hit with runners in scoring position. Now the Yankees win a couple and all of a sudden the Yankees are the favorite to win the World Series. People get so caught up game to game and draw these huge conclusions based on single games. Yankee's favored to win the World Series? They barely got by the 86 win Royals. They were 0-4 against the Mets in 2024, being outscored 36-14. That means the Mets averaged 9 runs per game against them. Were the Yankee's trying to lose? The Mets haven't had a #1 or 2 starter the entire year. They are playing with journeymen who nobody wanted because this was a rebuilding year, and they still destroyed the Yankees. But, of yeah, the Yankees are favored.
