이번 영상에서는 '적당하다', '적절하다' 그리고 '알맞다'을 영어로 어떻게 표현할 수 있는지 예문을 위주로 보면서 기본적인 유형을 몇 가지 배워봅니다.
추가로, 영어를 배우는 과정에서 '어휘'에 대한 고민은 누구나 많이 해봤을거라고 생각하는데 어휘를 짧은 시간에 많이 배우는 지름길 같은 것은 없지만 영어를 실제로 말하는 상황에서 조금이라도 배운 어휘를 활용할 수 있도록, 더 효과적으로 어휘 공부를 하는 방법에 대해서 짧게 제 생각을 이야기해 봅니다.

1. 적당하다 - 이 정도면 적당해 - This is good enough 2. 뭔가를 좀 무리하게 하려고하거나 도가 지나치게 하려고할때 "야 적당히 해" - Hey, go easy/ hey, take it easy - Hey don't get carried away. You('ve) got to take a break once in a while. - Working hard will only get you so far. 4. 친구 여럿이 모여서 송년회 할 장소를 찾고 있다 - 우리가 사람이 많아서 적당한 곳을 찾기 어려울꺼야 - We have a lot of people. 샘, 오늘도 좋은 표현감사해요. 특히 아래 문장은 자주 사용하는 표현이라 정리해봤습니다. 1) it is just that the way you expresssed yourself is~ 는 it ~ that 용법으로 부사 just을 강조하는 용법. Ex) It is not just that i like the way you behave.= i don't just like the way~문장에서 just 부사를 강조하고 싶으면 it ~ that 강조용법 으로 전환가능. 2) think (about) what you are going to use it (for) 에서 about과 for의 목적어가 what을 공통으로 수식하는 것. 전치사 뒤에는 동명사나 목적어를 받으니...

크리스마스 이브에~^^ 쌤 강의에서 배운것들 예문으로 만들어 봤는데, 제대로 한건지는 잘모르겠어요 ㅎㅎ😅 1.적당한 ♡그녀를 위로해주고 싶었지만, 적당한 말이 떠오르지않았다. I wanted to comfort her but couldn't find the right words. 2.적절하다 ♡나는 아이들의 수면시간이 하루에 약10시간 정도가 적절하다고 생각한다. I think children's sleep time is appropriate about ten hours a day. 3.알맞다 ♡라이브 아카데미쌤은 영어 쌤으로 아주 잘 알맞다. Live academy teacher is very well suited for an English teacher.😀🎄🎄🎄

Many of us are really hoping that we can find the books written by our teacher at bookstores. But we all know that it doesn't look like he's going to write it sooner or later. He said that he didn't recommend to study English relying on books. But someday he might write something with these useful scripts. 1. 물론 상황에 따라서 조금 더 어울리는 표현이 그때그때 있겠지만 우리말에서도 마찬가지로 대부분의 경우에서는 두 표현 중 어느 것을 써도 비슷한 의미를 전달합니다. 2. You('ve) got to take a break once in a while 를 직역으로 의미를 보면 "너는 어쩌다 한번씩 쉬어야 돼." 가 됩니다.

Workinkg hard will only get you so far. They arn't familiar with the work so it would've been hard for them to take apprepriate action. I think our timimg is really good. familiar 와 be used to 의 차이점과 문장에서 어떤때 familiar를 사용하고 어떤 문장에서 be used to 를 사용해야 하나요? 시점이 자신인지 다른사람인지에 차이점인가요?

아참, 선생님! 저 진짜 궁금한 게 있었는데, 질문 하나만 해도 괜찮은가요..? Having said that, With that said, 이렇게 시작하면서 말하는 건 보통 어떤 뉘앙스로 받아들여야 할까요? 저는 나름대로 ‘그런 점에서’ ‘그러니까’ ‘그렇다고 했을 때’ 이런 식으로 다음에 이어질 논리에 연결하는 건가 생각했거든요.. 근데 정확한 뉘앙스는 뭘까 늘 궁금했어요. 혹시 시간 되실 때 이 댓글을 보신다면 설명을 꼭 듣고 싶습니다.

Thanks a lot for using sky blue a lot. I think when you give us so many examples, using mainly a couple of colors is just right. (이렇게 많은 예문을 설명해주실때는 주로 한두가지 색을 사용한건 정말 적절한거같아요.) I think it can shorten your time to put together this lesson video. And not only that, I like the impression of the color because it gives the content easy to read and also makes our eyes comfortable. But actually, I like all the colors you've used in your content. I've just made it up to take an appropriate reaction for watching this lesson video. (영상을 본것에대해 예문을통해 적절하게 반응 하기위해 만들어봤어요) I think I'm going to have to make my own sentences usable in real life with appropriate cases, which is going to be a really good practice. (적절한 상황에서 실제 사용할 만한 나만의 문장을 만들어야할것같아, 그래야 정말 적절한 연습이 될꺼야) And I love your tips for studying vocabularies effectively. It's always tremendously helpful. I really appreciate it.

1. 첫 번째 문장에서는 저라면 'just right'보다는 'good enough'라고 할 것 같아요. 3. take action 은 행동을 취하다, 조치를 하다, 대처하다 라는 어감에 가깝기 때문에 3번째 예문에서는 take appropriate action 이 어울리지 않습니다. .....(교정중) 4. I think I need to practice my own sentences that I can actually use real-life scenarios(이 문장에서는 굳이 '적절한','적당한'을 표현하지 않아도 될듯) That's what makes practicing effective.(여기서는 문맥상 '효과적인'이 더 어울릴 것 같아서 이렇게 해봤어요)

빨모샘두 이번에 쓰셨는데, 미드보면 would have p.p 와 같은 가정법 구문이 if 절 없이 쓰이는 경우가 많더라구요 이런경우 해석도 제대로 안되고 어렵게만 느껴져요 ㅠㅠ

질문 하나 더 있습니다. Think about what you've mainly going to use it for and... 이 문장에서 for 뒤에 뭔가 동명사나 명사가 나와야 할것 같은데 and가 나오니까 문장이 어렵게 느껴집니다. 어떨때 문장 마지막에 for로 끝나나요? For가 없으면 미완성된 문장인가요?
